How to clean & care for ski goggles – keep them clear
6 simple tips so your goggles stay scratch-free, the anti-fog coating lasts and you have clear vision every ski day.

1. Never rub the inside
The anti-fog coating sits on the inside of the lens. Wiping it – with a glove, sleeve or cloth – damages it. If the inside is wet or full of snow: shake the goggles out, gently dab water with a microfibre cloth at most, then let them dry.
2. Clean the outer lens properly
Use a soft microfibre cloth for the outside. For heavy dirt, rinse the lens briefly with lukewarm water and pat it dry. No paper tissues, no kitchen roll and no harsh cleaners – they scratch the lens. Mirrored lenses in particular will thank you.
3. Let them dry after skiing
After skiing, let the goggles dry open at room temperature – not on the radiator, not with a hairdryer and not in a hot car. Strong heat harms the lens, the coating and the foam.
4. Remove the magnetic lens and dry separately
With magnetic ski goggles this is especially easy: pull off the lens, let frame and lens dry separately, click it back on in the morning. The 10 magnets of the YAN BAY put the lens back in place without tools – without touching the inside.
5. Store them properly
Store them dry in a soft bag or case and never put them down lens first. Don't throw them loose into your backpack next to keys and ski wax. That keeps the lens scratch-free – through the summer too.
6. On the slopes: not on your forehead
Don't push the goggles onto a sweaty forehead or beanie – they fog up faster there. During breaks, leave them on your helmet or keep them on your face. The ventilation works best while you're moving.
